Disconnect Connector
Alright first unplug the connector from the sensor by press down on the tab and pulling out.
Remove Screws
Next, use a Phillips head screwdriver and remove the two screws holding it in place.
Pull Up on Sensor
Now all you need to do is firmly pull up on the sensor until it pops out of the socket.
Spray with MAF Cleaner
Make sure to use a Mass Air Flow sensor cleaner I used the one from CRC which I will put a link to in the description below
Spray the sensor a few times as seen here, and make sure to spray both sides of the sensor .
wait around 3-5 minutes for it to air dry and then install it back into the vehicle.
Push Back into Socket
Seat the sensor firmly into the socket and reinstall both screws.
Reconnect
Finally connect the electrical connector and that’s it.
HERE'S THE RESULTS
BEFORE
Here’s a picture of the idle before the cleaning which stayed at 1k rpm even while warm
AFTER
Now here it is after the cleaning, it’s at the correct idle which is around 700 rpm and it seems to have better throttle response while driving.
